Everyone knows me as YouTube's phenomenal editor, ANTMhost. Since some have sparked the idea of creating a website for their Top Model, I've decided to do the same. And plus, my YouTube page is cluttered with mumble jumble that can be easily read here.
This site will always be updated once new AHNTM data and episodes become available, so check-in from time to time to see what's new.
**Attention** ANTMhost will be on hiatus simply due to lack of inspiration/desire to continue making videos. I may return in the future or resign altogether, but that is uncertain until further notice. The channel will remain open allowing accessibility to all my videos. Much THANKS for all the support and good luck =]
ANTMhost's Next Top Model (often abbreviated as AHNTM) is a web show in which a number of women compete for the title of ANTMhost's Next Top Model. The women are selected by participating YouTube members and consist of prior cast members on America's Next Top Model.
The show was created by ANTMhost who serves as the head judge and executive producer of the show. Talk-show host and former model Tyra Banks hosts the series. The show was a hit when it premiered its first cycle, reaching nearly 1,000 views per episode.
Each season of ANTMhost's Next Top Model has from 9-13 episodes and starts with 10-14 contestants. Each episode, one contestant is eliminated, though in rare cases no elimination was given by consensus of the judges. A trip to an international destination is scheduled at about two-thirds of the way through the season (usually with five or six contestants remaining).
Each episode of AHNTM features a photo shoot based on a specific theme and a critique of each contestant and her performance by the judging panel led by Tyra Banks, and the elimination of one contestant. The elimination process is ceremonious, as Tyra reveals and hands out the photos of the contestants that have not been eliminated one-by-one, in order of merit, each time saying, "Congratulations. You are still in the running towards becoming Top Model." The last two contestants who have not received their photos are brought up as "the bottom two," and Tyra critiques each one before revealing which of the two is continuing on in the competition (the other being eliminated). However, there have been one exception, as Cycle 1 had a non-elimination.
The format varies slightly when only three contestants remain. The three remaining contestants compete in one last photo shoot for CoverGirl, followed by a judging session in which the judges eliminate the contestant they feel to be the weakest. The final two then compete in a portfolio battle where the judges critique both girls' portfolio throughout the entire competition. After deliberation, the judges declare a winner.
Because CoverGirl is a crucial aspect the competition, a girl can be voted CoverGirl of the Week by the viewers and have their critique previewed for the next episode. If in certain cases the CGOTW was eliminated that same episode, the runner-up CGOTW would take her place in the preview. During the finale episode, CoverGirl of the Week is replaced with CoverGirl of the Cycle and is taken into consideration by the judges in determining the winner.
